CHARITY NEWS
We are preparing to decide as a community which charity to support during the coming year, Nominations are invited for a “Home” Charity (something local) and an “Away” Charity, something further afield, often – but not necessarily – overseas.
Nominations for smaller or less well-known charities are especially welcome, as these can benefit disproportionately from our support.
Nomination forms are available at the back of church and can be left there,
Nominations close on Sunday 25th August

In other charity news, Maggie Todd has accepted a challenge to zip-slide across the Clyde on 7th September to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland. Sponsorship can be done online at Maggie’s Justgiving page.

FOOD BANK
There is a box at the back of the church for donations of food (non-perishable items only) to help stock the food bank in Sauchie which is helping to meet the basic needs of those in want during these difficult economic times. Contact person: Sybil Brinham
