We meet up once every two weeks, in the Parish Rooms, to share an afternoon of fellowship and explore faith in an informal setting outwith the Sunday morning service. We usually number between six and ten at any one meeting. We are a welcoming bunch and see social chat and spending time together as important aspects of our meetings. We are very pleased when new folks join us as it always brings an added dimension to the group.
The name ‘Drop-in Group’ was originally chosen to reflect the fact that each meeting is a stand-alone meeting which folks can ‘drop-in’ to, as and when they are able. Each meeting is usually led by an individual member of the group; on occasion, clergy and visiting speakers join us as well.
With different people offering to lead, the range of topics explored continues to be amazingly wide! The format of the meeting is therefore very varied too and can range from discussion, to brass cleaning, contemplation and reflection, bible study, crafts, times of prayer, and simple, seasonal, shared ‘feasts’ to celebrate high days and holy days!
A programme of our meetings detailing date, time, venue and topic is posted on noticeboard in the Parish Rooms. It is an open invitation to folks who think this might be for them…….you will be made most welcome.
