The Memorial Garden occupies a discreet part of the grounds between the east end of the church and Thornbank Road. It was set aside as a space where ashes could be interred and where small shrubs could be planted in memory of family members who may be buried elsewhere. Small plaques (recycled from rectory kitchen floor tiles!) mark the resting place of former members of the congregation.
We are in the process of updating the plan of the garden and the position of individual graves; once complete, this will be framed and hung in the church, with laminated copies available for visitors.
