Who we are

St James’s church is located in the community of Dollar, a small town of around 3,000 people in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The church serves and draws people from Dollar and the wider local area.

We are a congregation of the Scottish Episcopal Church, which is firmly rooted in the life and history of Scotland, and committed to membership of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

If you have an Anglican background, you will feel very at home in St James; but our services are open to all, including those for whom church is unfamiliar. You will find us a welcoming and friendly community.

Ministry Team

St James is currently in Vacancy, which means that we do not have a resident full-time Rector. We have the support of an Interim Pastor, the Revd Elaine Ryder, as well as the Revd Charles Sherlock, who, with others, lead regular services. For details of our Ministry team, see here.

Our Buildings, Grounds and Gardens

Our Church and Rectory are old and interesting buildings – as well as being the focus of Parish life. The Church is surrounded by a Memorial Garden and within the grounds there is a prayer labyrinth. For more information, see here.
